Exhibition Series

A fascination with the unique visage of women across the globe led to the creation of this series.
Its focus is on the mystery behind magnetic eyes, cultural subtlety and momentary emotion.

Bestie beasts

We have all known and treasured the boundless and unconditional love of our animal familiars.

From the scruffiest mongrel to the pedigree steed, the human-animal connection is indefinable.

Many of these pieces were private commissions to celebrate this special bond and connection.

Medium: Polychromos pencil, pastel and gouache.

Where the wild things are

Much of my animal artwork is commissioned, but I also enjoy photographing animals and translating their unique and quirky characteristics
into drawings and illustrations.

In 2016 I exhibited work at the Australian National Zoo Annual Art Auction. The event raises funds for animal protection projects across the world. I was very fortunate to have my Ngagi (Baby Gorilla) and Field Mouse submissions purchased by the Zoo itself for sale in its gallery and gift shop.

Medium: Polychromos pencil, pastel and gouache.

Graphite studies

Graphite pencil is brilliant for capturing more subtle details and contours of a subject.
With the distraction of colour removed, the play of light and shadow creates dramatic effect.

storytime

Escape into an exciting world, where favourite characters come to life, time expands
